Discovermeat.be was founded under the auspices of Distri Carne, a meat wholesaler specialising in supplying quality meat to the catering industry .
The business was founded in 1988. Louis Vervisch took over the business in 2012 and successfully expanded it. Read the interview with Louis here . In response to demand from friends and acquaintances for the exceptional meat, they gradually started selling it to private individuals .
After consistently positive feedback in mid-2020, Louis and his partner Ann-Sophie decided to reach a wider audience and expand their sales online. To achieve this, they joined forces with Thomas Bonte, who is responsible for the webshop and digital aspects of the business.
Since then, private individuals throughout Belgium have also had the opportunity to enjoy the unique products at home with friends and family.
